The Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop Concept was shown at the MWC Barcelona event yesterday. This laptop is equipped with a 17.3″ Micro-LED screen that penetrates the back of the sera without any bezels and a touch keyboard.
When in use, the keyboard will automatically light up with a blue light. There are standard I/O such as USB-C. Since this laptop is still just a concept, Lenovo has not shared the full specifications nor shared. But we see it as an evolution to the Yoga Book design that they launched in 2018. At that time the Yoga Book had two touch screens but with a standard screen only.
The screen can reach a brightness of 1000 nits when needed and the keyboard part can be transformed into a drawing tablet that supports a stylus. Through this transparent screen, the real world and the virtual world on the screen can now be combined for a unique device experience.
This year saw several transparent products begin to be marketed commercially. At CES last January, LG Signature OLED T was launched as the first transparent TV while Samsung showed the world's first transparent Micro-LED panel.
