Many semiconductor chip companies today are seen wanting to start developing semiconductor chips specifically for the purpose of artificial intelligence, and the most well-known individual currently related to AI technology is the CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman who wants to develop a $7 trillion investment to open the chip manufacturing company in particular.
Another individual who is no stranger to the world of processing chip technology development is Masayoshi Son, CEO of Softbank, which owns a majority stake in Arm, a semiconductor chip technology company that powers a variety of smart devices and consumer electronic equipment today.
A Bloomberg report says that Masayoshi Son is preparing to introduce Project Izanagi as a competitor to artificial intelligence processing chip components produced by NVIDIA such as the NVIDIA H100 which is currently used not only to power artificial intelligence technology, but is used to develop various new technologies related to the arena.
Project Izanagi will also reportedly "complete" Arm's offering in the artificial intelligence technology space, but no details about the development of this artificial intelligence chip are known yet.
What is interesting is that Masayoshi Son is reportedly looking for an investment of only $100 billion compared to $7 trillion by Sam Altman, but with the availability of Arm in the chip technology development industry, it is seen that Masayoshi Son wants to focus the development of Project Izanagi on the mastery of general artificial intelligence technology intelligence) which can resemble the ability to do tasks and think of a human being.
In another interview with Bloomberg, Masayoshi Son said that general artificial intelligence technology that works like humans will become a reality in 10 years.
