Maxis And Huawei Demonstrate 5.5G Network Technology With Speeds Reaching 8Gbps – First In Southeast Asia

Maxis and Huawei today held a trial of 5G Advanced technology or also known as 5.5G – making it not only the first in Malaysia, but also in Southeast Asia. Through this 5.5G test, it showed a speed of up to 8Gbps.

The 5.5G network has now begun to be tested in several countries, promising a speed increase of up to 10 times compared to the 5G network. This simultaneously allows various things to be done, including at the industry level, or among users to stream 3D content directly in addition to the use of augmented reality.

Maxis also aims to use this at the industrial level, at the same time leading to economic contributions.

Parallel to this success, Maxis also stated that they will also demonstrate the speed of this 5.5G network at the Mobile World Congress that will take place next week in Barcelona, Spain.
