Meta, the parent company behind Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has now announced the addition of new board members to their company, including a Malaysian-born son, Broadcom CEO Hock Tan.
Hock Tan was born in Penang, and has worked in a number of companies before, including General Motors, and PepsiCo. He is currently working as the CEO of Broadcom Inc.
Hock Tan's expertise in the semiconductor arena is expected to help Meta which is currently actively investing in the arena of artificial intelligence and GenAI development.
In addition to Hock Tan, Meta's board members also include Dropbox CEO, investor Marc Andreessen, and others.
