Microsoft Edge For Android Testing Plugins Install Feature

Late last year, Firefox for Android was updated with support for installing over 450 plugins. This update brings about the same user experience between desktop and Android. Most recently, Microsoft was seen testing the same feature for their Edge web browser.

An X user, @Leopeva64 discovered a feature to install plugins on the Canary version of Microsoft Edge: AI Browser. Supported plugins are based on Chromium code, just like Edge for desktop. Based on the shared image, there are three plugins ready to use for anyone who wants to try.

Since the Edge web browser for Android is also based on Chromium, this gives hope that Google Chrome for Android may also support plugins one day. The use of plugins allows users to use additional functions that are more interesting or that help increase productivity more efficiently.
