Microsoft Tests Notepad With Copilot Built Into Windows

Microsoft Copilot is a generative AI service that uses the GPT-4 language model from OpenAI. It is now integrated into Windows and also has its own application. Copilot can help users generate images, rewrite emails, generate lists and more. Most recently, Microsoft is seen trying to expand it into Notepad as well.

Recently, Windows 11 Insider users in the Canary and Dev channels can test the new Notepad app. This notepad comes with the Explain with Copilot feature. Through it users can ask for the help of this AI system to check any recorded logs, codes, notes and others. Microsoft also provides quick access via Ctrl + E keys.

This is quite a helpful feature as Google includes Gemini (formerly Bard) on their digital services like Docs and others. At the moment it is not certain when users of the stable version will receive it. It might be in a big Windows update coming this year. Let's wait together.
