Mozilla announced the Monitor Plus service that deletes customers' personal information from data brokers. It is a continuation of the Firefox Monitor feature that would previously notify users if their email appeared in a database leaked to the web arena.
Monitor Plus is an $8.99 per month paid service that also monitors personal data that may be sold by around 190 professional data brokers. According to Firefox this is twice as much as the services offered by their competitors.
It will monitor monthly and notify customers that their data has been deleted. Among the data that can be deleted are the customer's name, address and phone number. At this time Monitor Plus is only offered to residents of the United States.
