Most recently, through the latest analyst notes, it is said that Perodua may launch a new model of their vehicle, the Perodua D66B or also known as Perodua "Nexis" as early as April 2024. This is shared by analysts, parallel to the takeover of UMW Holdings by Sime Darby.
With this move, Sime Darby now has offerings for all automotive segments under them, covering various brands including BMW, Toyota, BYD, Volvo and several others.
For now, the information regarding this model is still vague. According to initial speculation, this new vehicle model is expected to rank above the Perodua Ativa in terms of supply. We can also aim for the integration of intelligent driving systems as in some other Perodua models on the market, including the inforia system that integrates the support of the latest mobile platforms.
