It's no secret that Nintendo Switch 2 is being developed by Nintendo since the first generation console is almost seven years old. There are speculations that the Switch 2 will be launched at the end of this year. But according to the report of a Brazilian journalist Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe, the launch of Switch 2 will probably only happen in Q1 2025.
He cited information from five different sources. The Eurogamer website said their sources also said Nintendo had contacted several developers about delaying the launch of the Switch 2. The reason given was to ensure there was good video game support after the console was launched.
The launch of Switch 2 next year may also face the launch of updated consoles PlayStation 5 Pro and more powerful Xbox Series X Pro. But as we can see over the last two years mobile consoles are starting to gain attention.
Switch started the trend then followed Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, and PlayStation Portal. Switch 2 will definitely be well received considering that the original Switch has sold almost 140 million units so far.
