You cannot escape artificial intelligence (AI) at this point as almost all products will integrate this feature in the near future. Due to the soaring demand for AI, yesterday NVIDIA overtook Amazon as the most valuable company in the world. NVIDIA's market value reached $1.78 trillion (~RM 8.52 trillion) after the stock market closed compared to Amazon with a value of $1.75 trillion (~RM 8.37 trillion).
NVIDIA stock has become a hot topic with it jumping nearly 250% in 12 months. This is driven by demand for the NVIDIA A100 which is the most powerful AI chip on the market at this point. Its high ability resulted in its sales being banned to companies from China.
The last time NVIDIA overtook Amazon was in 2002. At that time NVIDIA carved a name for itself as the most powerful manufacturer of discrete graphics cards for video games. Malaysia also received a boost because NVIDIA's AI data center will be opened in Johor with an investment worth RM20 billion.
