Microsoft last year tested the ability to turn Android devices into web cameras for Windows computers through the Phone Link application. After Samsung announced their partnership with Microsoft to make Galaxy phones Windows webcams, preliminary details about supported devices have been revealed.
According to Android Police, this feature will be limited to Samsung devices running One UI 6.0 only. Then the connection with Phone Link is limited to laptops under the Galaxy Book series only. This feature is said to be distributed to users around March soon.
This feature is also expected to be given to Samsung Galaxy S24 users first. After the device is connected, the camera on the device can also support Auto Framing and Background Blur features. Let's all look forward to the official announcement of this feature and the date when it will be distributed to other Android and Windows users.
