Everyone seems to want to be a content creator on social media. "Content" will turn into credits if it goes viral. Therefore the equipment to produce content is now necessary to ensure its quality. Saramonic's latest Blink500 B2+ microphone has been launched targeting content producers who don't want to spend more.
Each Blink500 B2+ comes with two wireless microphones and one signal receiver. It can be connected to a USB-C phone, Lightning or digital camera using a 3.5mm cable. Each microphone has a 6mm condenser that records in the 20-20,000 Hz frequency range at 48K 24-bit settings.
Wirelessly audio can be transmitted up to a distance of 150 meters from the receiver. Recording up to 20 hours is possible and increases to 40 hours with the help of a battery in the charging pod. At first glance, this Sarmonic system is similar to the latest DJI Mic 2 system, only without bluetooth tethering support to smart devices.
A noise cancellation system is also included to ensure clear audio when recording outdoors. Each microphone has a clip or magnetic connection. Each set of Saramonic Blink500 B2+ is sold for $129 (RM615) which is much cheaper than the same audio system produced by competitors.
