Shopee has now announced that they will implement a new feature on their platform, where effective March 19, 2024, all products on the Shopee platform will be protected under the return feature due to "change of mind" after purchase or called Shopee as "Change of Mind".
Under this protection, the buyer can return the goods that have been purchased within 15 days after purchase. Shopee states that the introduction of this feature will further improve the user experience, and will indirectly increase the sales rate due to higher user confidence.
With the introduction of this feature, users can purchase goods, and if they do not like the goods received or "change their minds" after receiving the goods, they can choose to return the goods and receive money back.
Items that support this feature will also be labeled with a “Free Returns” tag on the sales listing.
Shopee states that the seller will bear the cost of return shipping. However, for this initial phase, Shopee allows sellers to reclaim return costs – limited to 1000 orders per month for Shopee Mall, 750 orders per month for Shopee Preferred, and 500 orders per month for Shopee Marketplace.
This new feature will be active on Shopee effective 19 March 2024.
