Sony has just started selling the PlayStation 5 "Slim" for the Malaysian market, and now comes an analyst report via CNBC, targeting that Sony may introduce an updated PlayStation 5 "Pro" this year.
For now, this sharing comes from analysts, and not Sony itself. It is expected that the new high-powered console will attract more people to get their hands on the console – after Sony faced challenges in meeting its previous console sales targets.
Previously, Sony had introduced a "Pro" variant for the PlayStation 4, around 3 years after the PlayStation 4 console was introduced. As for the PlayStation 5, it was introduced in 2020, and Sony also came with a small update for the console last year.
The PlayStation 5 "Pro" console is expected to be a new attraction in continuing to increase Sony's console sales.
