Tecno Pocket Go Is A Portable Windows Console As Big As A Game Controller

Mobile consoles are now getting more compact to allow them to be played anywhere. At MWC Barcelona Tecno Pocket Go was announced with it being the smallest Windows mobile console as it is only the size of an Xbox game controller. This compact size is achieved because it is not equipped with any screen.

Pocket Go needs to be paired with AR Pocket Vision glasses that provide an experience as if playing on a 215-inch TV. Each of the glasses is equipped with a 0.71″ micro-OLED screen. Without a built-in screen, the Pocket Go is up to 50% smaller and 30% lighter than other Windows portable consoles such as ROG Ally or Legion Go.

Each Pocket Go is equipped with an 8-core processor and 16 CPU threads with a speed of up to 5.1 GHz. The RAM and storage configuration is also not announced by Tecno. The cooling system with copper pipes allows the CPU to operate at a maximum power of 35W. Additionally there is a built-in 6-axis gyroscope and a motor that provides haptic feedback.

The analog button uses hall effect technology which will ensure that the stick drift issue that haunts other game controllers will not happen on Pocket Go. Pocket Go is offered together with the Tecno Smart Box which is used to manage games and various settings and is used to connect it to Tecno smartphones. The sale price has not been announced.
