The Surge S32 EV Can Transform Into A Motorcycle Like Batman's Tumbler

The scene that viewers of The Dark Knight remember is that when Batman's Tumber car is damaged by being shot by the Joker, it transforms into a Batpood motorcycle. The vehicle in this Christopher Nolan film is fictional but in India, the Surge S32 EV is a motorized rickshaw with similar capabilities.

In normal mode, the Surge S32 EV is a three-wheeled motorized rickshaw that can carry small loads used by farmers and as an Indian taxi. The design is like an "auto rickshaw" which is very popular in the country. The truck part of the S32 EV is equipped with an 11 kWh battery that allows it to lift cargo up to 500kg and reach a maximum speed of 50 kmh.

Then the front of the S32 EV can be opened and it turns into a two-wheeled electric scooter with a 3.5 kWh battery that can travel at a maximum speed of 60 kmh. With a different motor and battery, S32 EV owners don't have to worry about the battery's charge level after work at the end of the day. The electric motor on the scooter will also not suffer damage because it is not used to lift cargo.

The manufacturer of the Surge S32 EV, Hero Moto Corp aims to sell this electric vehicle starting in 2025 but the price has not been announced so far.
