U Mobile and CelcomDigi have now announced a collaboration, where both parties will share a total of 100 MOCN (Multi-Operator Core Network) sites throughout Malaysia. With this move, the two parties will share around 50 sites, and further strengthen the 4G network coverage for both companies.
Under this collaboration, U Mobile aims to continue to improve the experience of using their network, in addition to sharing the cost of operation and maintenance with Celcom.
CelcomDigi also stated that they are looking at the 4G LTE network offering that continues to be improved to customers, in addition to allowing them to continue investing in the development of their customers' digital experience.
In addition to improving the 4G LTE network for customers of both companies, this collaboration is also expected to save operational costs through infrastructure sharing.
