In addition to the 4G LTE network sharing collaboration between CelcomDigi and U Mobile, now the two telecommunications companies together with ZTE also announced a collaboration, and will demonstrate the use and capabilities of 5G-A (5G Advanced) technology.
The three parties will work together for a real-world test of the use of 5G-A in Sarawak. The test of this technology is not just on the mobile network, but rather on its use in helping to offer a number of solutions, including artificial intelligence, in addition to live broadcasting.
To make this test a success in Sarawak, a number of integration technologies will be used, including Automatic Antenna Pattern Control (AAPC) and AAU Hibernation. This solution will be used together with technologies such as mmWave and others for high 5G speeds.
U Mobile stated that with this step, they will be able to show the advantages of 5G-A to consumers and enterprises - in line with their inspiration to become a digital service provider that many are interested in in Malaysia.
