Ukraine Will Receive AI Drones For Use On The Battlefield

The use of commercial drones on the battlefield was first seen during the conflict in Syria. Then in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Turkish-made military drones destroyed hundreds of tanks, armored cars and rocket launchers without any resistance. The Ukraine conflict proved that 3D printed drones are quite effective on the modern battlefield compared to more expensive weapon systems.

According to Bloomberg, the UK and America will offer drones with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities that can carry out mass attacks to Ukraine. Group attacks are harder to parry allowing enemies to be defeated. Ukrainian boat-type drones have successfully destroyed two Russian Black Sea Fleet warships.

The UK and America are likely to use the Ukraine conflict to test the drone systems they are developing. Real-world data will be used to improve systems that have so far only been field tests. Turkey has already developed Kargu-2 drones designed to carry out group kamikaze attacks, each equipped with a claymore-like weapon.

At the same time America has several anti-drone systems such as Leonidas and THOR that can interfere with the operation of hundreds of drones trying to attack simultaneously.
