Vivo today launched another new smartphone, the Vivo Y100 5G which is now on sale with affordable pricing for a mid-range device. This device is another device choice from Vivo for their Vivo Y series. When compared to the previous Y series, various improvements have been injected through the offering this time and thus Vivo uses the number 100 as the branding name of the device model.
The 6.67″ AMOLED screen is supported by an FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 80W and a peak brightness that reaches 1200 nits with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Vivo Y100 comes with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor chip, 8GB RAM memory, 256GB storage and there is virtual memory that can be added up to 8GB.
There is support for Wifi, Bluetooth and supports 5G network. The device is also equipped with a 5000mAh capacity battery with 80W charging support. The operating system used is Funtouch OS 14 which is based on Android 14.
The built-in camera on the Vivo Y100 is a triple camera type with 50MP (main) + 8MP (ultra wide) and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The design of the device is one of the attractive features of the device where it comes in two color options namely Purple Leather and Crystal Black. Interestingly, the rear body panel of the device has 'anti-stain coating' technology with an 'ecofiber leather' construction which makes it not easily dirty and easy to clean. IP54 waterproof feature is also available.
Vivo Y100 has started to be marketed and can now be purchased with a price starting from RM1199. Through purchases until March 28, buyers will receive attractive gifts such as earbuds and Vivo Care 1+1 year extended warranty period worth up to RM298.
