With speculation about the future of Xbox beginning to spread on social media last week, Xbox has now announced that they will be holding a special episode of the Official Xbox Podcast on February 15. At this event various questions about the Xbox plan will finally be resolved by Microsoft itself.
Today there is a report on The Verge that Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment will be the two exclusive Xbox games that will be offered to the PlayStation 5. Then at the end of the year, Sea of Thieves will be the third game offered. There are rumors that Starfield and Indiana Jones will also be offered to the console
The offering of Xbox-exclusive games to other consoles received a backlash from die-hard fans who felt betrayed. The fact is that the development cost of modern games especially AAA is too expensive for it to be limited to one console only. Sony itself has started offering PlayStation games to PC over the past two years for the same reason.
As a person who has never owned an Xbox console because it was never officially offered in Malaysia, if this news comes true it is very welcome.
