Xiaomi 14 is a compact, thin flagship device that uses a flat design all around including the screen. Xiaomi also used the Light Fusion 900 sensor for the first time to help further increase the dynamic color rate for HDR. The screen also supports 1-120 Hz LTPO, 3000-nit brightness and can display Dolby Vision content.
For the camera, Xiaomi uses the new Leica Summilux lens developed through the Xiaomi x Leica Optical Insitute. It guarantees a faster shutter speed, a natural bokeh effect and good lighting for low-light environments. The telephoto sensor uses floating 75mm lens technology that helps capture 10cm portrait and macro images. Leica Authentic and Leica Vibrant profiles remain offered giving users the freedom to choose according to their own taste.
This year Xiaomi also emphasized video recording. Xiaomi 14 is capable of recording 4K 60FPS Dolby Vision video, movie mode with 2.39:1 aspect ratio, more natural motion blur effects, includes 180° shutter rules like in the film industry and also 4x microphones for immersive audio vlog videos.

Just like the Xiomi 14, the 14 Ultra also focuses on video recording with a 50MP quad-camera system. Xiaomi continues to use a 1-inch sensor, this time the Sony LYT-900 which supports Dual Native ISO Fusion Max technology. It can ensure customized video recording according to the changing lighting situation. Portrait mode support is improved through Master Portrait with a Leica floating telephoto lens capable of capturing over 44% of light.
Video recording on the 14 Ultra was developed specifically for professionals in the film industry. MasterCinema mode, can record 10-bit Rec.2020 format HDR video. The built-in director mode also gives users Log control as well as connecting the device to the HDR screen. Making the video recording experience more professional is the Xiaomi 14 Ultra Photography Kit.
Sales in Malaysia have not yet been confirmed. But this kit is a module with built-in shutter, manual control wheel, adjustable recording button, has a 67mm lens filter adapter and also an extra 1500mAh battery. It uses a USB-C connection.
The screen of the device also uses a self-designed panel which is Xiaomi C8 which supports WQHD+ resolution, LTPO 1-120 Hz, Dolby Vision and 3000-nit brightness. What is interesting about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra screen is that it uses the All Liquid Display design, which is a technology where every corner of the screen is curved, as well as the sides in a flat form. The device is also designed to be very thin and at the same time comfortable to hold.
Both devices run the all-new Android 14-based Xiaomi HyperOS operating system. It uses a human-focused design concept for the Human X Car X Home ecosystem. Generative AI features are also provided, the gallery app now comes with built-in Google Photos and supports 4+5 years of software updates.
Xiaomi 14 will be offered with a choice of Black, White or Green colors at a price starting at €999 (~RM5167). Xiaomi 14 Ultra is only available in black or white with prices starting at €1499 (~RM7754).
