Xiaomi has already launched two of their new Leica devices in China last year, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. This year, Xiaomi is said to bring only one model to the Malaysian market. The global version of these two devices is expected to be launched at the upcoming MWC Barcelona 2024.
Lei Jun recently said that he will focus on the electric vehicle business to make Xiaomi SU7 a success. For smartphones, William Lu has been appointed as the new manager. Lei Jun and William Lu confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be launched soon.
It is not sure if the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be launched along with the Xiaomi 14 series for the global market. With no Pro model in Malaysia this year, hopefully the 14 Ultra will be offered. The device is said to offer a 1″ Sony camera sensor, Leica lens, powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and support 80W fast wireless charging. Let's wait for more information about this device later.
