Xiaomi HyperOS is the new generation Xiaomi operating system. Xiaomi is trying to follow in the footsteps of Huawei with the concept of one operating system for all. HyperOS focuses on the Human x Car x Home ecosystem, where every HyperOS device will be friendly with Internet of things devices as well as vehicles using Xiaomi's new inforia system. In Plaça de Willy Brandt, Barcelona today Xiaomi introduced a new update for the global version.
This new HyperOS targets four goals; Comprehensive Refactoring, Cross-Device Intelligent Connectivity, Proactive Intelligence, and End-to-End Security. Specifically for global market users, this new update will also bring built-in Google Photos integration. It will be distributed in stages.
The most interesting thing is the new generative AI feature. First is AI Subtitles for real-time subtitles during teleconference sessions. The second is AI Album Search, just using a simple prom to search for pictures in the HyperOS album application.
The third is AI Portraits which are trained with ready user images. Then the AI system will generate a new model based on the user's face to modify the smile style, background or even clothes.
Lastly is AI Expansion like Photoshop Generative Expand, where existing user images can be further expanded with the help of generative AI. On Xiaomi AI Expansion this is processed from within the device.
Xiaomi HyperMind is a new system of Internet of Things devices that use Mi Home. It also uses AI to learn the user's environment, see the mood, listen to the situation and also monitor the user's activity patterns. With this, Internet of things devices in the home can automatically activate according to what HyperMind understands. HyperMind was also developed so that every product such as closed circuit cameras, smart speakers, smart lights and more can connect with each other.
On the Xiaomi 14 that I am currently using, this AI feature is not yet available. An update that activates all these features will be distributed in the near future specifically for global users.
