It seems like all messaging platforms want to offer generative AI features. We have already seen Galaxy AI with Chat Assist, Google Message that can reply to messages with AI and many other applications. Most recently, Instagram was also seen testing the feature of sending messages in their Direct Message using AI.
This feature is seen to be similar to Chat Assist on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. Users have to write first then can use AI to rewrite in different intonation. Since Chat Assist is built into the keyboard, the method in DM on Instagram is to reselect the text for "Write with AI".
The screenshot shared by this source is of the Instagram app for Android. There is no information when this feature will be distributed to all users. But everyone knows that Meta will integrate generative AI features on all their social media platforms in stages. Let's wait together.
