How to Make a Check Symbol with the Alt Key
The next way to create a symbol is to use the Alt key. However, you need to know the character code of the symbol.
This method is only applicable on Windows devices. The method is as follows:
Position the cursor in the document where you want to insert the symbol
Hold down the alt key, and write the numbers 0252 for a regular check mark or 0254 for a box check mark.

If you previously had a check symbol in another document, you can use it again by copying and pasting it. The method is:
Look for the check symbol in existing documents
Click Ctrl+C for Windows or Command+C for Mac
