Anker Soundcore Aerofit Pro Review – Battery Life & Quality Audio

This time at the our  test lab, for the umpteenth time we tested another type of audio product from Soundcore, the Anker sub-brand which is no longer a new name in the audiophile world. In fact, Soundcore is often present with the offering of various quality audio products from time to time. Therefore, this review article is about the latest wireless earphones from Soundcore, the Aerofit Pro, as a result of several weeks of testing.

Aerofit Pro's design at first glance also looks different compared to the average design of wireless earphones on the market. This design is made to make it suitable for use even in active and strenuous physical movements while allowing the sound of the environment to still be heard when wearing it.

Aerofit Pro is built as an open ear earphone with a design created for comfort and allowing the listening experience to be enjoyed to the maximum. The built-in LDAC technology guarantees solid audio quality.

The comfort when wearing this Aerofit Pro is guaranteed to be quite satisfactory because it is not the type of earphone with a bud in the ear like most earphones, where when worn it will only rest on the top of the ear without covering the ear hole completely. This design allows, sounds from the outside can still be heard and I can remain aware of the surrounding environment.

However, with such a design, the sound quality will definitely be slightly disturbed by the noise from the outside environment, but considering that these earphones are created specifically for sports and rugged activities fans, this design can be accepted well at the same time as it coincides with its name as an open ear type earphone.

This Aerofit Pro also comes with a quite useful storage and charging pod. The model I tested is Black Dynamic with the Soundcore logo branding in the middle which is quite simple but still looks neat and premium with the matte build. On the front of the charging pod there is a button with a flashing LED light which is used to open the charging pod cover.

Then at the bottom there is a charging hole for USB-C. In addition to black, this Aerofit Pro also comes with three other color options, namely Calm White, Aqua Blue and Electric Purple.

There is also a removable neck loop that works to ensure the earphones are more secure and stay in the ear even during strenuous activities. But without using it, these earphones are still firmly fixed in place.

On the top there are two buttons on each side of the earphone that can be used to control the settings on it. The button function is good and can work well. There is also an IPX5 waterproof feature on the Aerofit Pro with waterproof performance that is very useful if you sweat while doing light or extreme sports activities. However, the waterproof feature is not available on its charging pod.

AUDIO QUALITY

Certainly audio quality is the most important feature whenever a test on earphones is made. I can say that the level of audio quality provided by the Aerofit Pro is quite good for an open ear wireless earphone created specifically for sports enthusiasts. As a video editor , I took the opportunity to test these earphones while editing a video to evaluate the audio quality.

Basically I can say the audio quality test using this Aerofit Pro, passed. Audio can be heard clearly even when the audio volume is increased to the highest level, the sound is still pleasant to listen to. However, going back to its type which is an open ear earphone, making the audio heard sometimes a little disturbed by the sound of the environment, not to mention when wearing it while in a noisy room.

CONTROL AND APPLICATION

The use and connection of earphones with a smartphone or laptop is very easy and fast with the Bluetooth 5.3 function and SBC, AAC and LDAC codec support. Aerofit Pro can also be connected to two types of devices at the same time. App installation is not required to connect it, but for more diverse settings then app support needs to be downloaded.

The Soundcore app can be downloaded for free on the Play Store and App Store. There are various settings that can be modified according to will, for example such as the function settings of the control buttons and also the settings of sound effects (sound effects) that you want to hear. Through this application, battery life information for both the earphones and the charging case is also displayed.

BATTERY

After using the Aerofit Pro regularly for two weeks, I feel that this earphone battery has excellent battery life and is the most durable, beating all earphone battery performance I have used before. Aerofit Pro's battery life can last up to over 14 hours and up to 46 hours when paired with a charging case. For charging purposes, a USB-C cable is used.

IN THE BOX

1x Anker Soundcore Aerofit Pro

1x Neck Band

1x Charging Cable

1x User Manual

CONCLUSION

I want to conclude this review with a specific recommendation for sports enthusiasts to consider the Aerofit Pro as an audio product you might want to own. The combination of good audio quality, long battery life, IPX5 waterproof rating with a comfortable and neat in-ear design. In addition to playing sports while accompanied by music, you can still be sensitive to the sound of the environment.

Even for those who may work in noisy conditions such as warehouses or crowded areas and still always need to hear the surrounding noise, then this Aerofit Pro may be for you. The price of RM799 offered may be a bit expensive but looking at the quality, this Aerofit Pro is still a good idea to own and should be considered if you really want a quality audio companion especially when doing sports.

Easy to use application.

Long battery life.

CONS

The price is a little expensive.

Just focus more on specific uses such as sports and outdoor activities.

There is no ANC because it is of the open ear type.
