Anthropic, one of the companies focused on artificial intelligence, and often positioned as one of OpenAI's competitors, today officially announced their latest artificial intelligence model, namely Claude 3.
Claude 3 comes in several variations, codenamed “Opus”, “Sonnet” and even “Haiku”. According to Anthropic, The most powerful of them, Claude 3 Opus, is said to surpass GPT-4 and also Google Gemini Ultra through benchmark tests involving artificial intelligence.
Claude 3 is also capable of summarizing over 150,000 words – twice as much as the previous model. In addition, this new artificial intelligence model has a better level of understanding, as well as providing more accurate responses and answers to users.
In addition, it also includes multi-modal support - where users can upload pictures, documents, charts and various other types of data for it to analyze and offer answers.
The "Sonnet" and "Haiku" models are said to be more compact and cheaper than the Opus. Starting today, the Claude 3 “Sonnet” and “Opus” are available to developers starting today, and the “Haiku” model will follow after this.
