GIGABYTE Malaysia has today announced that they are bringing in two of their powerful gaming laptop models, the AORUS 17X and the AORUS 16X which are powered by the latest components from Intel and NVIDIA.
Starting with the GIGABYTE AORUS 17X, this premium class gaming laptop comes with a 17.3-inch IPS screen display with a resolution of 2560×1440 and a refresh rate of 240Hz, a brightness value of 300 nits and is capable of processing 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
This laptop is powered by an Intel Core i9-14900HX processing chip, which is their most powerful processing chip to date. It also comes with a DDR5 memory offering of up to 64GB and also PCIe 4.0 SSD storage 1TB +1TB where both of these components can be upgraded if you want to do it yourself.
In terms of graphics card offerings, AORUS 17X comes with a choice of graphics cards, namely NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 with 12GB of GDDR6 memory. These specs are powerful enough to run all modern games at high resolutions, settings and even refresh rates.
The laptop is loaded with three USB 3.2 Type-A plugs, one Thunderbolt 4 plug, one RJ-45 plug for wired internet connection and also a 3.5mm audio plug. This laptop also supports WiFi6E wireless internet connection for fast internet connection.
With a 99Wh battery, this AORUS 17X comes with a battery life of around 4-5 hours, and with a 330W charger, it can be charged to 50 percent capacity in half an hour and used for gaming sessions that require both CPU and GPU processing power at once .
For the GIGABYTE AORUS 16X, this laptop comes with a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1600 and a refresh rate of 165Hz.
GIGABYTE Malaysia also confirmed that for the Malaysian market, this laptop will come in three different models with different CPU and GPU combinations. The most powerful model will be equipped with an Intel Core i9-14900HX chip, while the other two models will use an Intel Core i7-14650HX CPU.
The memory and storage offer is also the same as the AORUS 17X where it comes from 16GB up to 32GB, and SSD storage up to 1TB+1TB.
For graphics card options, the Intel Core i9 and Intel Core i7 models will come with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, while the third model with an Intel Core i7 chip will come with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card.
In terms of plug options, the AORUS 16X features the same plug offerings and features as the AORUS 17X model. This includes the same 99Wh battery that promises a battery life of 4-5 hours depending on usage patterns.
Both the AORUS 17X and AORUS 16X laptops can already be purchased through GIGABYTE Malaysia's Shopee and Lazada online stores at a starting price of RM14,449 to RM16,726 for the AORUS 17X model and from RM6599 to RM10,269 for the AORUS 16X model.
