Earlier this month we reported that there were rumors that Apple would change the name of Apple ID to Apple Account. This change is said to take place in all Apple services that require access to user accounts and also in all their operating systems starting this year.
Recently, Mark Gurman through Power On reported that this change will start with iOS 18, watchOS 11 and others. The reason for this change is still unclear but it is expected to make it easier for users to find out about their Apple account. The use of Apple Account is also not new because the credit balance (for App Store, Apple Card) is now called Apple Account Balance.
The WWDC event may take place in June 2024 for the announcement of software updates. Apple ID to Apple Account changes may be announced at this event. Let's wait together.
