Apple Vision Pro to this day is still the most advanced headset. It does not use the concept of virtual reality or augmented reality, rather it is a headset for spatial computing. Now that the Vision Pro has been successfully sold to many people, the engineering team that made this headset a success has reportedly moved on to the foldable iPhone project.
Apple is said to be planning to launch the foldable iPhone in the first quarter of 2027, instead of the fourth quarter of 2026. Apple's chosen suppliers have reportedly received orders to continue supplying components on schedule. This year Apple has received screen samples from Samsung and LG. Then it was reported that Apple had two foldable iPhone prototypes similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip but may not continue due to concerns about the folding effect.
For now it is still uncertain what the future holds for devices with Apple's foldable screen. Is it an iPhone that can be an iPad or an iPhone that can be an iPod.
