Astro Pay TV Service Subject To 8% SST, Astro Fiber Remains 6%

Astro now also informs users, stating that in parallel with the implementation of the 8% service tax by the government effective 1 March 2024, Astro will also implement it on some of their services.

Astro states that pay television services or Astro Pay TV will be subject to an 8% SST charge effective March 1, 2024. This includes package purchases, reconnection charges, and so on.

Regardless, Astro emphasizes that this is not a price increase by them, but rather is in line with the implementation of SST by the government.

Astro also informed that there will be no increase for the Astro Fiber service, where it will remain at 6% as before.
