Last night during the launch of the ASUS Zenfone 11 Ultra, ASUS also announced their Generative AI service to compete with other flagship devices that do the same. Here are the AI features that can be used;
AI Noise Cancellation
This AI can activate noise canceling mode no matter what app or what set of earphones. ASUS uses machine learning and algorithms that can determine the noise in the environment to mute so that users can enjoy the best teleconference session or music listening experience.
AI Transcript
This feature is the same as on the Google Pixel where the voice recorder app can output a transcript for user reference. Each text is also searchable and has a timeline to make it easy for users to review each voice recording.
AI Call Translator
This AI is similar to Call Assist on the Samsung Galaxy AI where phone calls made or received can be translated into other languages with AI. Each translation will have a text transcript and the audio will also be translated. This feature will make it easier for users to chat in foreign languages.
AI Semantic Search
A search feature like this has actually existed on Google Photos for a long time. It's just that with AI language models that have been trained with various things, the AI Semantic Search feature can find any type of image with a simple keyword. It's like entering a prom but the result is a picture in the gallery of the user's device.
AI Wallpapers
Samsung is there, Google Pixel is there and Nothing is there. ASUS also doesn't want to miss out on the AI Wallpaper feature. Users only need to select available themes and styles to generate unique and exclusive background images.
For now ASUS revealed that this AI feature is only available on Zen UI Android 14 for Zenfone 11 Ultra. Details on which language models are used or whether other ASUS devices will receive this feature have not been shared yet.
