Circle to Search is a new feature introduced on the Galaxy S24 and Pixel 8 series a few months ago. So far we can say it's the best information search feature we've ever used on a smartphone. With this feature having been expanded to Pixel 7 devices, Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and Tab S9, Google announced that Circle to Search will also be given a fast translation feature.
When Circle to Search is invoked by the user, a special button for circular translation will also be displayed. If pressed, any words in the image on the screen will be switched to the language of the user's choice. This is a feature that already exists on Google Lens and Google Translate but is now also provided on Circle to Search. Among the interesting uses is changing the language on the menu when abroad.
Google says the feature will be rolled out to devices globally. Initially it will be supported on Google Pixel 7 and above devices and Galaxy S24 series only with it being able to translate languages supported by Google Translate.
