Today's reality sees the role of women has grown rapidly over time in various aspects including the world of technology. The involvement of these women also has the potential to bring significant changes in society.
Accordingly, the Cyberjaya Women's Network initiative was introduced through Cyberview Sdn. Bhd. (Cyberview) in ensuring that women in this country can continue to be comprehensively and inclusively empowered. This initiative aims so that women can improve their opportunities in various fields. At the same time playing a role as the main platform for mentorship, career development and upskilling of women in the growing tech community in Cyberjaya.
Cyberview also described this initiative as a sign of concern for women as well as proving to strengthen the company's commitment to principles based on sustainability, focus, environment, social and governance (ESG). Meanwhile, the women's empowerment agenda is part of the topic in the concept of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) which is the focus in various fields including social organizations.
Cyberview in its opening remarks today also shared that 50% of their workforce is female with 36% holding decision-making level positions. This number is expected to continue to increase in the future in line with the continued expansion in employment.
In the same event, a panel discussion was held on the reality and challenges of a working woman in fulfilling her commitments as an employee and a household manager. In addition to witnessing Cyberview establish a strategic collaboration with TM R&D, AIBP, Lean in Malaysia and LeadWomen.
