With the United States once again bringing up discussions to ban TikTok if Bytedance does not sell its operations in the country, now Donald Trump has made a surprise appearance, and expressed support for TikTok and opposed it being banned.
According to Donald Trump, banning TikTok will only benefit Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg. He emphasized that he did not want to Facebook which had previously "deceived: in the last election.
This is quite a surprise to many, when earlier in 2020, Donald Trump signed an order to ensure that TikTok is sold to local companies.
Previously, the United States congress had passed an order to ensure that Bytedance sells the TikTok business in the United States within 165 days, or after the period in question the application has to be banned in the country in question.
Among the reasons brought include stating that the TikTok application leads to national security risks because it is allegedly owned by the government and political parties in China.
