Electronic Arts or EA is now another video game company that has announced it will lay off employees, in an effort to continue optimizing their business operations. EA became the second video game company to announce layoffs this week, after Sony announced the same for its PlayStation division.
EA said they will lay off 5% of the workforce, impacting the company's 670 employees.
In addition to firing employees, EA also announced that they will end the game and may not develop a new IP that is expected to be less successful.
With this move, EA will focus more on some of the main IPs they own, including focusing on sports and also on-line communities.
