Figure, one of the companies that focuses on the development of robots, has now announced that they have received an injection of new investment funds from Microsoft, OpenAI Startup Fund, NVIDIA, Jeff Bezos, and Intel Capital. The total investment fund injection was $675 million, making the robot company worth $2.6 billion today.
Along with this injection of investment, Figure also stated that it will work with OpenAI in developing a new generation artificial intelligence model specifically for robots. This is expected to speed up the development of robots, which can also process and interact using normal conversational language.
In addition, Figure also stated that they intend to offer their robots in commercial operation as soon as possible - and this latest investment is expected to further help that.
