Although Google is busy moving to Passkey for a future where all websites and apps can log in without a password, password manager support is still encouraged by them. For example on Chrome, Password Manager is a username and password manager that supports cross devices. Recently, Chrome seems to have supported third-party password managers as well.
On the Password Manager settings in Chrome, there is a Use other providers option. After selecting a password manager service installed on an Android device, the method of use is more or less the same. Open any website that requires user approval, username and password suggestions for Chrome auto-fill will appear above the keyboard. Source uses Microsoft Authenticator as an example.
In my own testing, Google still tries to force users to use Password Manager because it often appears first before the Lastpass I choose appears. This feature is quite interesting because not everyone uses a password manager by Google. If you use Bitwarden, Lastpass, 1Password and others you can now use it as the main password manager on Chrome.
If you are interested, enable this feature via chrome://flags/#enable-autofill-virtual-view-structure. It is available on Chrome app for Android stable, Dev and also Canary versions.
