Google Play Pass Subscribers Increased 120% Last Year

Five years ago, Google Play Pass was introduced. It is a subscription service to access over 1000 premium and ad-free apps and in-app purchases. August last year, it was first offered in Malaysia at a price of RM10.99 per month. Most recently, Google stated that the number of customers has increased by more than 120% over the past year.

Google also said that Play Points members have reached more than 220 million. Play Points is a service that collects points for every purchase and subscription on the Play Store. Accumulated points can be redeemed for in-app purchases, videos on Google TV and more. Too bad it's still not offered in Malaysia.

Google Play Games PC has also been updated to now include Lineage2M, Odin: Valhalla Rising, Genshin Impact, and Dragonheir: Silent Gods. There are now more than 3000 titles playable on PC in 140 countries.

Google Play Store will also receive updates where the first part will display more details of updates by developers. New content and promotions will also be delivered to users directly. As previously reported, the Play Store will also have an AI feature for the FAQ section. A video tab will also be introduced, it's from YouTube specifically for premium content.
