According to Grab, the findings show that as many as 84 percent of respondents to the study report, consisting of people in this country, are planning to increase their spending during the coming Ramadan. Most of them plan to spend money on daily demands, such as food, drinks, clothes and personal care products.
The results of the research report done by Grab also revealed some key findings about consumer spending patterns in this country during Ramadan. Then provide recommendations and appropriate steps that can be taken by traders for better results.
Among the recommended include; capitalize on increased digital activity during the festive season. According to Grab, the spending pattern of each Malaysian has increased by 76 percent, with 62 percent of them relying entirely on various services on Grab to meet their needs. It includes things like food delivery and payment.
In addition to providing food packages for large family groups. Gathering together with family is one of the common norms that are often made among the people in this country. This can also be proven through Grab's research report which states that as many as 84 percent of respondents enjoy breaking fast with their loved ones, which of course can help improve relationships for the better.
Then 94 percent of the people in this country also do not mind spending more to get quality products. This is seen to provide an opportunity for traders to offer food packages made specifically for such groups with interesting extras such as extra drinks and desserts for example.
Grab also recommends taking advantage of the increased use of public transport for the early Ramadan campaign. The research results found that 79 percent of Grab users, including those who own a vehicle, are more comfortable using Grab services for convenience during important days. This shows an increase of 19 percent compared to the number of weekly passengers before Ramadan.
Next, it can continue to increase in the weeks leading up to Aidilfitri as people will make travel reservations to the airport to return to the village.
