Recently, Crucial, a computer memory component maker announced that they will soon introduce LPDDR5 12GB and also 24GB memory options, and apparently, Honor is the first company to use this memory.
This can be seen through the Geek Bench CPU benchmarking platform which shows their latest Honor MagicBook Pro 16 AI laptop comes with a memory offering of 24GB, using this new memory module.
Some other details about this laptop are shown, such as the use of Intel Meteor Lake processing chips, 24GB and 32GB memory offerings with 1TB SSD storage. This laptop will also come with a 16-inch screen display with a resolution of 3072×1920 and a refresh rate of 165Hz.
The use of this new memory allows laptop makers to offer higher memory options without having to worry about insufficient memory slots. The 12GB memory offering is seen to replace lower memory offerings such as 8GB and 4GB, and this is important now, when many laptops come with AI capabilities that require higher amounts of memory.
