It's been years since Apple intended to bring hearing aid support to their TWS, AirPods. Originally a software feature through iOS 15, then a new model that can also detect temperature and posture. But all this did not happen. Last year, it was once again heard that Apple is still serious about making AirPods one of the health gadgets for users. Recently, a hearing aid mode will be given to AirPods Pro through iOS 18.
It is well known that AirPods Pro supports sound passthrough mode which is quite good. This feature is expanded to many different modes such as Live Listen or Conversation Boost which can improve the quality of real-time conversations. With the FDA (MOH in the US) having introduced standards for hearing aids directly in stores without specialist help, Apple may want to increase sales of AirPods by marketing these TWS as a health gadget.
