Late Apple Boss Steve Jobs' Business Card Sold for USD 181

Recently a 1983 business card sold for billions of rupiah. This rectangular, white paper belonged to the late Apple boss, Steve Jobs, who died in 2011.

This business card features a rainbow version of the Apple logo, with the words 'Apple Computer' next to it. Then there is information about Steve, who at that time served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. The other data on this business card includes the address and company contact.

So one thing that makes it a little different and special is that it has Steve's signature. The position of this handwriting is in the empty space right next to the information mentioned above.

What's even more interesting is that the object that was auctioned last Thursday was purchased for USD 181,183. Said RR Auction spokesperson, Mike Graff, this is the highest price ever sold for a business card, as reported from Business Insider, Sunday (24/3/2024).

"The sale of a Steve Jobs signed Apple business card for over USD 180,000 sets a new standard in autographed business cards. It is a testament to Jobs' enduring legacy and Apple's profound impact on our modern world," said RR Auction Executive Vice President Bobby Livingston.

Actually, RR Auction has auctioned off 10 of Steve's business cards. But only one of these cards dates back to 1983, and the only one that has passed PSA/DNA authentication.

Maybe a business card with a selling price of up to USD181 sounds expensive, but that's only a fraction of the other expensive items Steve signs. Previously, this letter, which was typed in two lines and had the signature stroke of one of Apple's founders, was sold for USD 479,939 in 2021.

Not only that, because there is still a check worth USD 175 thousand whose price will reach USD 106,985 in May 2023. Even items that have nothing to do with Apple, such as a Pirates of the Caribbean movie ticket with Steve's signature are priced at USD 14,653.

Then the Toy Story film poster with Steve's signature was also auctioned with a minimum bid of USD 25 thousand. But so far, the Apple Computer Corporation Document is the most expensive item Steve has ever signed.

At that time he was not alone, two other people who also signed autographs were Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. It was sold for USD 1.3 million to Eduardo Cisneros in 2011, a few months after Steve died.
