Lenovo has shown their most powerful gaming laptop to date, the Lenovo Legion 9i alongside several other new models at the Lenovo Innovate '24 event in Bangkok, Thailand yesterday.
Lenovo Malaysia said that these laptops will arrive in the local market "soon", and today, the Lenovo Legion 9i has come with specifications and price tags for the Malaysian market.
Lenovo Legion 9i comes with a 16-inch MiniLED PureSight screen display with a resolution of 3200×2000 and a refresh rate of 165Hz and a brightness value of 1200 nits with DisplayHDR 1000 and NVIDIA G-SYNC support.
For the Malaysian market, this laptop is powered by an Intel Core i9-14900HX processor chip with a DDR5 memory option of 32GB or 64GB and also a 1TB or 2TB SSD storage option depending on your needs and capabilities.
In terms of graphics cards, users can choose to get models with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards for graphics processing with very high resolution, settings and refresh rates.
To cool this laptop, Lenovo loaded the Legion 9i with the Legion ColdFront Liquid cooling system, which is a liquid cooling system developed specifically for this laptop together with Cooler Master. This cooler is seen to be responsible for ensuring that this laptop with a TDP of 230W operates at an optimal rate all the time.
In terms of I/O and various other supports, it comes with support for Thunderbolt 4 plug, USB 3.2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1 and also an SD card reader. For wireless connectivity, this laptop also comes with WiFi7 support for fast wireless internet connection.
A unique feature of the Lenovo Legion 9i is that it comes with a display cover made of several layers of carbon fiber that gives this laptop an aggressive look. The Legion TrueStrike keyboard also comes with the ability to modify the cover and key switches without having to remove the parts.
The Lenovo Malaysia website shows a starting price tag for the Lenovo Legion 9i at a price of RM15,219 for the specifications of 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card. For the most powerful specifications with 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD and NVIDAI GeForce RTX graphics card 4090, this laptop is offered at a price of RM19,082.
