Microsoft And OpenAI Reportedly Planning $100 Billion Data Center Project

Microsoft and OpenAI are working closely together on the artificial intelligence arena – including integration on Bing and even CoPilot offered through Bing. Apart from that, now it is reported that these two giants are planning for the development of a data center project worth reaching $100 billion with a focus on artificial intelligence.

The project is also expected to add an AI adicomputer called "Stargate", launched as early as 2028. In addition to this "Stargate", Microsoft is also said to be developing a slightly smaller adicomputer with a launch target of 2026.

With the recent drastic demand and development of artificial intelligence, it also leads to a high demand for data centers that can accommodate it. This also indirectly leads to an increase in the demand for chips, especially those produced by NVIDIA.

Several parties have started developing their own chips to reduce their respective operating costs. It is said that this data center project by Microsoft and OpenAI will later support various chip variations from different manufacturers.

For now, OpenAI and Microsoft have not issued any official comments regarding the development of this new data center.
