Microsoft Tests New Copilot Notebook And Designer Directly On Edge

If you use Microsoft Edge, you must have noticed on the left sidebar there is a Copilot icon for quick access to this AI chatbot. Every day, this feature is very helpful and Microsoft is aware of this. Therefore users and developers using the Canary version of Edge can now use two new AI features.

First up is the brand new Microsoft Designer. Designer is an image generating AI service powered by DALL.E 3. But on Edge, users can right-click on any image on the web and choose to insert it into this new Designer for editing such as removing the background.

Second is Copilot Notebook. This "notebook" feature interacts with the generator as if taking notes rather than conversational dialogue. Microsoft says it offers support for up to 18,000 characters compared to the regular Copilot which is limited to just 4000 characters. This feature will make it easier for users who want to analyze documents and extract important data.

For now, it's still in testing in the Canary phase and it's not certain when Microsoft will offer it to all Edge users. Let's wait together.
