Kate shared the announcement via Instagram @princeandprincessofwales and X/Twitter @KensintonRoyal. He said that the medical tests he did after stomach surgery showed that there was cancer in his body.
"To everyone facing this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone," Kate said.
This news certainly shook people who had been wondering about the whereabouts of the Princess. Even on the internet, there is a lot of speculation and wild theories are inevitable.
Some of the triggers came from photos that were allegedly manipulated, and a video of him with Prince William which was assumed to be a Middleton clone. From there, the keyword 'Katespiracy' became a hot topic of gossip among netizens, as reported by Business Insider, Sunday (24/3/2024).
However, the rumors finally stopped, after Middleton's official statement appeared on March 23. One of the people who regrets it is Blake Lively, an American actress.
Lively joked about Middleton's upload on Instagram. He considered that the photos he uploaded were Photoshopped and failed.
"I'm sure no one cares today, but I feel like I have to admit this. I made a ridiculous post around the 'photoshop fail' hype, and my goodness, it embarrassed me today. I'm sorry," he wrote.
Here Lively is not alone. Several hours after the announcement that Middleton was sick with cancer, netizens around the world also expressed their regret. Realizing how wrong it was, people poked fun at themselves, and revisited all the fake tweets they'd ever liked.
