NVIDIA GTC Is Back – This Year's Event Comes With a Focus on Generative AI

After several years, the NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference or NVIDIA GTC event finally returned as a physical event after several years had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Last year, the NVIDIA GTC event was held online only, but this year, it will return physically in San Jose, California.

Taking place from March 18-21, 2024, the focus of this year's NVIDIA GTC event seems to be on generative AI. It will feature more than 900 discussion sessions, more than 300 exhibits, more than 20 technical workshops related to generative AI and meet-and-greet events for those in the industry.

The CEO of NVIDIA, Jensen Huang will also be at the event to give a keynote speech that will certainly be given a lot of attention, especially when he recently said that children should not be emphasized on programming subjects, and instead it is better to focus on subjects others such as science, biology, medicine and so on.

Apart from generative AI technology, NVIDIA GTC will also showcase various industries that are present with their involvement, such as medicine, automotive, virtual reality and so on. The San Jose Convention Center, the location of this year's NVIDIA GTC event will be home to around 16,000 attendees from various industries who are all interested in advancing the artificial intelligence industry.

Typically the NVIDIA GTC event will focus on technology for industrial use, and although NVIDIA is better known for their gaming class graphics cards, this event is not expected to introduce any new offerings in the segment.
