A few months ago we reported that Apple had developed a system that would allow iPhone software to be updated at the Apple Store without having to remove it from the box. According to a Bloomberg report, the system given the name Presto will be used starting next month in Apple Stores located in the United States.
The device is updated wirelessly by placing it on the presto machine. It will turn on, update before turning off again without having to open the box.
Among the issues that have been happening lately is that the iPhone needs to be updated first by the buyer before it can be used. This slows down the process of transferring from an old iPhone to a newly purchased iPhone. With Presto, this issue will never happen again.
